1897 - The beginning of abstract poster arose by Belgian art nouveau artist, Henry van de velde, who is considered as a reader of 20th abstract painting.

1911 – The first abstract painting is ascribed to Wassily Kandinsky who mixed political and commercial advertising for soviet society with many Russian artists.

1924 – Aleksandr Rodchenko designed various film posters aimed at costume in media by using photo.

1929 - Russian designer El Lissitzky developed grid system with typography and layout in design.
1920 - De tijl, which was a utopian concept style, developed during the 1920s of Europe and artists affect graphic design.

1919- The Bauhaus founded by Henry Van de Velde was closed after World War 1 and reopened at Weimar in Germany.

After 1920s, the Bauhaus focused functional graphic design.

1926 – Herbert Bayer who was influential in graphic design made a few typefaces.

1950 – Swiss flourished typography design.
